Horacio Salgán’s orchestra and his historical bandoneonists: Néstor Marconi, Ernesto Baffa, Julio Pane and Juan José Mosalini in a production leaded by pianist César Salgán who also conducts the orchestra. Soloist of Quinteto Real will be in the orchestra too. The repertory will include: “Canaro en París”, “Gallo ciego”, “Recuerdo”, “Ojos Negros”, “El choclo”, “Tierra Querida”, “El Entrerriano”, “A dos mujeres”, “Responso”, “Al gran maestro”, “Mano Brava”, “La llamo silbando”, “A fuego lento” and their version of “La pulpera de Santa Lucía” that was never recorded.

Puma Urban Art Festival
The fifth edition of Puma Urban Art, a ticket-free fest dedicated to urban arts hosting icons of discipline such as Jeremy Fish and Ron English, known for his paintings on the wall of Berlin. Apart from an exposition of Lomo cameras and an exhibition of altered surf boards. There will be concerts, documentaries projections and live painting.

Immigrants in La Boca
Dramatized guided tours in La historia en su lugar (History in its place), the presentation that proposes a different way of knowing the city, with tours guided by actors narrating and acting in the middle of the streets the history of different neighborhoods and some of the most famous inhabitants. An interactive theatrical installation in the center of La Boca that proposes, to those who want to participate, become passengers in a schooner of the XIX century with destination to Puerto de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires’s Port) back to 1898.

Catalunya’s Community Center opens the doors.
In 1886, a part of the Catalonian community with residence in Buenos Aires creates the Catalonian Center that later became El casal de Catalunya (Catalunya’s Community Center) of Buenos Aires as we know it nowadays.
Visits offer a tour through history and the architecture of this interesting center, which has its central office in the old downtown. It is one o f the oldest institutions in the world, history goes back to 1886 when the Catalonian Community Center is created.

The tragic story of Barraca’s brides.
Barracas is a neighborhood in constant transformation that bets on a promising future. From time to time, during the afternoons, in the heart of Plaza Colombia, a casual and inexplicable fact is produced when the wind flows about with the chords of a mysterious bandoneon and a group of lost souls take a body-like shape to tell their stories. The audience will be able to know why the bandoneon of Eduardo Arolas still sobs. It will witness the sad end of Amalia, the protagonist of the first argentine novel and she’ll find out why Elisa, the daughter of Admiral Guillermo Brown, committed suicide. Spectators will also witness the unfair death of Felicitas Guerrero and reach the end the trip when the secret of the lion’s house is discovered.

A new exhibition that has the aim to complete Argentinean avant-garde’s vision from an exposition made in MNBA on Martin Fierro’s Newspaper in arts in April 2010.
The avant-garde tendencies of our country had two sources: the one characterized by Martin Fierro’s Newspaper with the moto “art for art”, and the one made through the constant search of avant-garde innovations in connection with social worries, working and public struggles –though, sometimes, the limits of both groups turned up to be impartial in the affiliation of each of the members.

San Telmo’s Ghosts
The historic center, the eldest neighborhood in the city, old buildings and narrow alleys; they have all absorbed the memories of those who once lived and worked there. During the day, the neighborhood works actively, but during the night, come ghostly figures wander the streets. The tour promises hearing the sorrow whisperings of a native girl who was turned into a tree and meeting the ghost of the poet in love. You’ll take a walk through a street that was invaded by the yellow feverg, go around the gardens and corridors of a building where an avenging ghost help solving a crime.

Bye bye American Pie
Malba inaugurates calendar with the exposition Bye Bye American Pie, a selection of more than 110 pieces from very well known American artists: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Larry Clark, Nan Goldin, Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger and Paul McCarthy, these are exhibited all together for the first time in BA.
Curated by Philip Larratt-Smith and conceived as the continuation of the previous exposition in Malba, Andy Warhol, Mr. America (2009-2010); Bye Bye American Pie explores the transformations of the American culture from the seventies to present times through the production of six most important artists of USA in the last 40 years. This research gathers unique pieces, important pieces for the artists but in different supports: painting, picture, installation and works on paper coming from public and private international collections.

Festival Puma Urban Art
Llega la quinta edición del Puma Urban Art, un festival dedicado al arte urbano con entrada libre y gratuita que contará con la presencia de referentes de la disciplina como el caricaturista Jeremy Fish y Ron English, conocido por sus pinturas en el muro de Berlín. Inmigrantes en La Boca
Vuelven las visitas guiadas teatralizadas de La Historia en su Lugar, el ciclo que propone una manera diferente de conocer la Ciudad, con recorridos realizados por actores que narran y dramatizan en plena calle la historia de los distintos barrios porteños y algunos de sus más famosos habitantes. Una instalación teatral interactiva en pleno corazón de La Boca que propone, a quienes participen de ella, convertirse en pasajeros de una goleta del siglo XIX cuyo destino es el Puerto de Buenos Aires allá por el 1898.

El Casal de Catalunya abre sus puertas.
En 1886 una parte de la colectividad catalana con residencia en Buenos Aires crea el Centro Catalán que con el tiempo se convirtió en el Casal de Catalunya de Buenos Aires como lo conocemos en la actualidad.
La visita ofeece un recorrido por la historia y la arquitectura de este interesante casal de la comunidad catalana, cuya sede se encuentra en el Casco Histórico de nuestra ciudad. Se trata de una de las entidades más antiguas del mundo, su historia se remonta al año 1886, cuando se crea el entonces Centro Catalán.

La trágica historia de las novias de Barracas
Barracas es hoy un barrio de constante transformación y cambio que apuesta a un futuro promisorio. De tanto en tanto, por las tardes, en el corazón de la Plaza Colombia se produce un hecho casual e inexplicable cuando el viento se entrevera con los acordes de un misterioso bandoneón y un grupo de almas en pena se corporizan para contar sus historias. El espectador podrá enterarse por qué aún solloza el bandoneón de Eduardo Arolas. Presenciará el triste final de Amalia, la protagonista de la primer novela argentina y sabrá por qué se suicidó Elisa, la hija del Almirante Guillermo Brown. Será testigo de la injusta muerte de Felicitas Guerrero y concluirá su viaje averiguando el secreto que oculta la casa de los leones.

Nueva muestra en el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes
Una nueva exposición que tiene como objetivo completar la visión de la vanguardia argentina, a partir de la muestra realizada en el MNBA sobre el Periódico Martín Fierro en las artes y en las letras, en abril de 2010.
Las tendencias de la vanguardia en nuestro país, tuvieron dos vertientes: la protagonizada por el Periódico Martín Fierro, bajo el lema “el arte por el arte”, y la que se caracterizó por su permanente búsqueda de innovaciones vanguardistas en torno a las preocupaciones sociales, luchas obreras y políticas, si bien los límites de ambos grupos, a veces resultan imprecisos en las afiliaciones de cada uno de sus miembros.

Los fantasmas de San Telmo
El Casco Histórico, es el barrio más antiguo de la ciudad, los viejos edificios y sus angostas callejuelas han absorbido las memorias de los que vivieron y trabajaron una vez allí. Durante el día, este barrio funciona en activo movimiento, pero por la noche las apariciones fantasmales transitan por sus calles. El paseo promete escuchar los susurros angustiados de la joven nativa convertida en árbol y conocer al fantasma del poeta enamorado. También caminar a través de una calle invadida por la fiebre amarilla, recorrer los patios y pasillos del edificio donde un fantasma justiciero ayudó a resolver un asesinato.

Malba inaugura su calendario con la exposición Bye Bye American Pie, una selección de más de 110 obras de seis destacados artistas estadounidenses: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Larry Clark, Nan Goldin, Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger y Paul McCarthy, que por primera vez se exhiben en forma conjunta en Buenos Aires.
Curada por Philip Larratt-Smith y concebida como continuación de su exposición anterior en Malba, Andy Warhol, Mr. America (2009-2010), Bye Bye American Pie explora las transformaciones de la cultura estadounidense desde los años setenta hasta el presente a través de la producción de seis de los artistas más importantes de los Estados Unidos de los últimos 40 años. Esta investigación reúne piezas claves de cada artista, en diversos soportes: pinturas, fotografías, instalaciones y obras sobre papel, provenientes de importantes colecciones públicas y privadas internacionales.
