Porteño Carnival 2012
Every weekend, including 20 and 21st that correspond to Monday and Tuesday’s carnival days, the city of Buenos Aires takes the afro rhythms from the river plate in order to become the classic murga neighborhood. The Carnival Committee of the Cultural Ministry of the City of Buenos Aires will be offering all the music, the joy and the color of hundreds of murgas that will be presenting in the main avenues of different neighborhoods round the city. Murgas will be parading in “corsos” with colorful costumes and contagious dancing steps. It is a familiar meeting where children play with lather while they watch murgas go by.
Buenos Aires’ murgas were declared Cultural Patrimony of the City of Buenos Aires in 1997.

One of the movies that were selected by experts from BAFICI (Buenos Aires International Festival for Independent Films) will be showed in this peculiar way of getting in contact with the seventh art. An event that provides a different way of enjoying the best films under the stars without getting off the car or just lying on the grass.

Guided tour of the Munich’s Building in Costanera Sur.
A guided tour through the Munich’s Building in charge of the General Department of Museums in order to learn about the history and anecdotes of the first years in the Munich brewery inaugurated in 1927. Silvia Antonic (soprano), Celina Torres (mezzo-soprano), Antonio Seoane (tenor) and Carlos Koffman on piano will be in charge of the ambient music interpreting melodies that were part of the golden period of the brewery and some old-trendy songs from 1920 to 1950. During the visit it will be allowed to go to the terrace and the vantage point.

Claro’s Cup 2012
The 15th edition of Buenos Aires’ tennis tournament will take place from 20 to 26 of February 2012 at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club in the City of Buenos Aires. This tournament is one of the fourth tournaments that constitute the Latin American’s comb dirt tour that is played between the weeks of Australia’s Open and the beginning of Masters of Indian Wells.
Previous phase: February 18th and 19th.

The event will gather highlighted personalities of the fashion world in a multi-spaced spot with 2 catwalks for the parades that will be taking place during the week. Todos los fines de semana, incluyendo el 20 y 21, que corresponden al lunes y martes de carnaval,la Ciudad de Buenos Aires toma los ritmos de afros del Río de la Plata para convertirse en la típica murga barrial. La Comisión de Carnaval del Ministerio de Cultura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, ofrecerá toda la música, alegría y color de cientos de murgas que se presentarán en las principales avenidas de diferentes barrios porteños. En los "corsos" desfilarán las típicas murgas con sus coloridos trajes y contagioso baile. Un encuentro familiar, donde los niños juegan con espuma mientras ven desfilar a las comparsas.
Las murgas de Buenos Aires fueron declaradas Patrimonio Cultural de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires en 1997.

Una de las películas seleccionadas por los expertos del BAFICI (Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente) se ofrecerá en esta original manera de acercarse al séptimo arte. Un evento que posibilita una manera distinta de disfrutar el mejor cine bajo las estrellas, sin bajarse del auto o sobre el césped del parque.

Un recorrido por el Edificio de la Munich a cargo de la Dirección General de Museos para descubrir la historia y anécdotas de los primeros años de la cervecería Munich, inaugurada en 1927. Silvia Antonič (soprano), Celina Torres (mezzosoprano), Antonio Seoane (tenor) y Carlos Koffman en piano estarán a cargo de la ambientación musical interpretando en vivo melodías que formaron parte de la época de oro de la cervecería y canciones de moda entre 1920 y 1950.. Durante la visita se podrá acceder a la terraza y al mirador.

La 15ª edición del torneo de tenis de Buenos Aires tendrá lugar del 20 al 26 de Febrero de 2012, en el Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Este torneo es uno de los 4 torneos que actualmente conforman la denominada gira latinoamericana de tierra batida, que se juega en las semanas comprendidas entre la finalización del Abierto de Australia y el comienzo del Masters de Indian Wells.
